so, this is my first dog. was wondering at about what age do they retire? what are the signs, or warning he wants to or is retiring?
thanks, gizzmo
I new Digby was ready to retire when I could walk faster with my cane than my dog. I noticed him really slowing down. That was about the only clue I had because he was always enthusiastic about working. He was 9 and a half so had worked for 8 years. He was in good enough shape to continue working but he had developed cateracts.
usually when they are reading the obituaries looking for people they know or complaining about kids on their lawn.
lol lol damn it to hell then. lucky for him he has his own fenced yard
